Prompt Editing

The Prompt Editor is a powerful environment for engineering dynamic AI instructions. It combines text editing with sophisticated variable parsing and metadata management.

Core Content & Metadata

Every prompt requires a clear foundation to remain useful as your library grows:

  • Title: A descriptive name for your prompt.

  • Description: Detailed context on what the prompt is designed to achieve.

  • Icon Customization: Select from Lucide Icons, search for an Emoji, or Upload a custom image to visually distinguish your prompt in the library.

  • Type Selection: Define the output format (Text, Image, Video, Audio) to enable better filtering later.

Working with Variables (Templates)

Transform static instructions into dynamic templates using the double-brace syntax:

The {{variable}} Syntax

Any text wrapped in {{ }} becomes a dynamic field.

  • Example: Write a {{tone}} blog post about {{topic}}.

  • Result: PrxmptStudix will automatically generate two input fields, one for "tone" and one for "topic", whenever you use this prompt.

Advanced Configuration

Fine-tune how PrxmptStudix treats your prompt content:

Disabling Variables

There are cases where your prompt content might contain {{ }} naturally (e.g., when writing code or documentation about templates).

The "Disable Variables" Switch: Toggle this setting to treat all double-braces as literal text. This stops the app from creating input fields and prevents rendering errors for code snippets.

Category & Tag Management

  • Smart Select: Choose from existing categories or type a new name to create one on the fly.

  • Tagging: Add multiple tags for multi-dimensional organization. You can create new tags directly in the editor by typing and hitting Enter.

Use the Output tab while editing to add reference examples, ensuring you always know what a "good" result looks like for this specific prompt.
