Prompt Details

The Prompt Details view is your primary workspace for inspecting and validating prompts. Unlike the Library (which is for organization) or the Editor (which is for creation), the Details view is optimized for review and verification.

[Prompt] Tab: The Overview

The default tab provides a clean view of your prompt's identity and core instructions.

Markdown Rendering: Unlike a simple text box, this preview supports full Markdown (MD). You can include headers, lists, and code blocks within your prompts, and they will be rendered beautifully for inspection.
Variable Highlighting: Any {{variable_name}} is automatically emphasized with a distinct highlight, letting you see at a glance what data inputs are required.
Detailed Metrics: Located directly below the preview, you can monitor the technical cost of your prompt:
- Tokens: The estimated token count for your prompt.
- Estimated Cost: Calculated in real-time based on your default model's input pricing.
- Chars & Words: Standard counts for character and word density.
Metadata Visibility: The bottom of the tab reveals the prompt's organizational context:
- Category & Tags: Visual badges showing exactly where the prompt fits in your library.
- Audit Dates: The precise "Date Created" and "Last Updated" timestamps.
Quick Copy: A floating Copy Icon allows you to instantly pick up the raw prompt content for use in external tools.

[Output] Tab: The Reference Gallery

The Output tab serves as your "Source of Truth" for what a successful prompt response looks like.

Multi-Modal Previews: Supports Text, Images, Videos, and YouTube links.
Carousel Navigation: If multiple examples are present, use the arrow buttons or bottom thumbnails to cycle through them.
In-App Media Player: Play video examples or view high-resolution image proofs directly within the dialog.
Effective Use: Always attach at least one output example when finalizing a prompt. This helps your team (or your future self) understand the expected style and format of the AI's response.

[Template] Tab: Variable Filling

The Template tab allows you to populate your prompt's variables without modifying the source template.

It is only visible if your prompt contains {{ }} variables.

Dynamic Inputs: Every unique variable found in your prompt is automatically turned into an interactive input field.
Live Injection: As you type into a variable field, the prompt content below updates in real-time to show the final result.
Non-Destructive Usage: This tab is designed for quick usage. You can fill the placeholders and copy the resulting text for external use while keeping the original prompt template intact.

[History] Tab: The Time Machine

The History tab provides enterprise-grade version control for every prompt, ensuring you never lose a working iteration.

Version Timeline: A list of every saved change, sorted chronologically with timestamps and optional descriptions.
Side-by-Side Diff Engine: Selecting a history entry shows exactly what changed:
- Red Strikethroughs = Content that was removed.
- Green Bold = Content that was added.
Safe Restoration Workflow:
1. Select a previous version and click Restore this Version.
2. The app creates a new snapshot of your current (pre-restoration) state.
3. The library is updated to the historical version.
  This "Snapshot-before-Restore" loop ensures that even a rollback is reversible.

Global Dialog Actions

Regardless of which tab you are in, the bottom action bar provides critical workflow continuity:

Send to Lab: Instant handoff to the Experimentation Lab. If you are in the Template Tab, it will send the filled version of the prompt.
External Providers: A dropdown menu allowing you to jump directly to the native chat interfaces of ChatGPT (OpenAI), Claude (Anthropic), Gemini (Google), and more.
This feature is available for prompts shorter than 2,000 characters due to browser URL length limitations.

Edit / Delete: Transition into the Prompt Editor or safely remove the asset.
